Two sequences in one for Yemaya. The first sequence Daniela learned from Israel "Berriel" Gonzales, founder member of the Muñequitos de Matanzas in Cuba. The track begins with one of the recordings from the teaching sessions, and transitions into the sequence sung by the choir. The second sequence is sung soulfully by Liz Gre accompanied by our special guests Oli Saville on percussion and Rey Crespo on bass. Yemaya is the mother Orisha. The mother of fishes. The mother of us all. All loving, all encompassing. In Yorubaland a River. In the Diaspora, the Sea.
